This page provides IT-related information on using the M&R software.
You need a web browser with an internet connection to access the M&R software. The following browsers are recommended:
- Microsoft Edge
- Google Chrome
There are separate web pages (links) for accessing the system for public bodies and schools:
If you already had an account on the old M&R system, your account details and data have already been brought over to the new software system. You can use the same username (email address) to access the new system. However, you must setup new password for a new system. You can do this by using the ‘forgot your password' function on the login screen.
If you did not already have an account on the old M&R system, you can either:
- Ask a colleague who is already a user on the system to login and set you up as a new user on the system. Your colleague must be an admin user and can set you up via the user management screen for public bodies or the user management screen for schools.
- Will need to contact the helpdesk at mandr@seai.ie and request a new account. You will need to provide details of your email address and the name of your organisation.
Every user must have a unique email address.
If you have forgotten the email address used to registered you on the system, you can use your organisation's PSO ID (or the roll number for a school) as a username. Note, that in this case you must enter a password of the organisation primary contact.
If you have forgotten your password, use the ‘forgot your password' function on the login screen.
Every user on the M&R system must be assigned one of the following user type classifications:
- A read-only user can view data only. They cannot edit, input or delete data.
- A standard user can view, edit, input and delete data in the system. They cannot add, edit or delete users.
- An admin user can view, edit, input and delete data in the system. They can also add, edit and delete users.
This functionality will be available from 8 October 2024.
Every user from an organisation to which the Climate Action Mandate (CAM) applies must also be assigned one of the following user type classifications:
- A CAM user can view and edit the organisation's Statement on compliance with the Climate Action Mandate, but cannot submit the Statement.
- A CAM read-only user can view the organisation's Statement on compliance with the Climate Action Mandate, but cannot edit or submit the Statement.
- A Climate & Sustainability Champion can view, edit and submit the organisation's Statement on compliance with the Climate Action Mandate. Only this user type can formally submit the Statement via the M&R system.
- A non-CAM user cannot view or edit the organisation's Statement on compliance with the Climate Action Mandate.
- The system incorporates functionality to upload certain types of data to the system from spreadsheet files.
- In general, you must first download a specific spreadsheet template file to use for your upload.
- When uploading data, your upload file must be in the correct format (as per the download template).
- When you upload a file, you will receive an email notification with details of the upload, including any upload errors.
- There is detailed guidance on the functionality for different specific uploads on the help pages for relevant data input screens (public bodies and schools).
The following limits and restrictions apply to inputs for certain fields:
- MPRN location field can contain up to 250 characters. Spaces, commas and special characters are allowed.
- GPRN location field can contain up to 250 characters. Spaces, commas and special characters are allowed.
- Tags can contain up to 40 characters. Spaces and special characters are not allowed.
- Text responses within the Statement on compliance with the Climate Action Mandate can contain up to 2,000 characters. Spaces, commas and special characters are allowed.
