This help page describes the data report for public bodies called ‘Buildings performance comparison'. This report shows key performance indicators for your buildings compared to those of other public bodies.
For detailed background information on the methodology for buildings see Buildings.
- The report comprises a header, a drop-down filter and three bar charts.
- Name of your organisation and its PSO ID.
- ‘Last year for which data reported’ indicates the most recent year for which data is shown in the report. Note that:
- Prior to the M&R reporting deadline, this report shows data for the preceding reporting year. This is because building-level consumption data reported by other public bodies may be incomplete prior to this deadline.
- From the M&R reporting deadline until the start of the next reporting cycle, this report shows data for the reporting year.
- ‘Data status’ indicates how complete the data is for the most recent year.
Choose the building type and sub-type that you want to display in the charts. Note that the filter only shows types and sub-types for which your organisation has reported non-zero consumption data for at least one building for the relevant year.
- The darker purple bars show the final energy consumption per square meter (kWh/m2) of your building(s) of the selected type/sub-type for which you have reported non-zero consumption for the relevant year. You can see the building name and floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar.
- The lighter purple bars show the final energy consumption per square meter (kWh/m2) of all other buildings of the same type/sub-type for which other organisations have reported non-zero consumption for the relevant year. You can see the building floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar. The building and organisation name for these buildings is not shown.
- The data shown is based on the building-level consumption and floor area data reported by public sector organisations, including yours. This data has not necessarily been verified by SEAI. The energy values include electricity and thermal energy.
- The brown bars show the fossil CO2 per square meter (kgCO2/m2) of your building(s) of the selected type/sub-type for which you have reported non-zero fossil CO2 for the relevant year. You can see the building name and floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar.
- The orange bars show the fossil CO2 per square meter (kgCO2/m2) of all other buildings of the same type/sub-type for which other organisations have reported non-zero fossil CO2 for the relevant year. You can see the building floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar. The building and organisation name for these buildings is not shown.
- The data shown is based on the building-level consumption and floor area data reported by public sector organisations, including yours. This data has not necessarily been verified by SEAI.
- The navy bars show the total CO2 per square meter (kgCO2/m2) of your building(s) of the selected type/sub-type for which you have reported non-zero total CO2 for the relevant year. You can see the building name and floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar.
- The blue bars show the total CO2 per square meter (kgCO2/m2) of all other buildings of the same type/sub-type for which other organisations have reported non-zero total CO2 for the relevant year. You can see the building floor area by hovering your mouse over the relevant bar. The building and organisation name for these buildings is not shown.
- The data shown is based on the building-level consumption and floor area data reported by public sector organisations, including yours. This data has not necessarily been verified by SEAI.
