This help page describes the data report for public bodies called ‘Energy consumption - as reported'. This report provides a simple tabular summary of your organisation's energy use over time, in the units in which you reported the data.
- This report comprises a header and a data table.
- Name of your organisation and its PSO ID.
- ‘Last year for which data reported’ indicates the most recent year for which data is shown in the report. Note that the data for this year could be incomplete, e.g. because you have not yet inputted some of your data.
- ‘Data status’ indicates how complete the data is for the most recent year.
- This table shows the energy types for which your organisation has reported data. It includes all energy types for which your organisation has ever reported consumption, including energy types that may no longer be in use.
- The annual energy consumption is presented in the units in which you reported the data.
- Any natural gas consumption shown in the table is expressed in kilowatt-hours (kWh) on a gross calorific value basis. This is the unit in which natural gas is billed. This is different from the unit used to display natural gas consumption in all other reports in the system. In the same way that the M&R system converts all other energy consumption reported (e.g. in litres, tonnes, etc.) to kWh of final energy consumption on a net calorific value basis using SEAI conversion factors, the system converts kWh (gross) of natural gas consumption to kWh (net). It is the latter that is presented in all other data reports and used in all calculations for energy and emissions targets.
- The data reports page includes additional information on features that are common to many of the data reports, including this one.
- The SEAI reference for this data report is PSO-R10. Please include this reference if you are contacting the helpdesk with a query relating to this report.
